A bikini wax removes hair outside the bikini line — just the sides and top. A Brazilian removes everything (or almost everything). If you're not sure which is right for you, just message me before booking and I'll help you decide.
There is some discomfort — hair is being pulled from the root, after all. But it's fast. Taking an ibuprofen 30 minutes before your appointment helps. Avoiding caffeine the day of can also reduce skin sensitivity. It gets noticeably easier after 2–3 sessions once your hair is on a consistent growth cycle.
Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long — roughly 2 to 3 weeks of growth after your last shave. Exfoliate gently 24 hours before (not the day of). Avoid retinol, exfoliating acids, and sun exposure for 48 hours prior. Check our Policies page for full prep instructions.
At least 1/4 inch — about the size of a grain of rice. If you've been shaving, that typically means 2 to 3 weeks of growth. Resist the urge to trim it down before your appointment.
Wait 48 hours after your wax, then gently exfoliate the area 2–3 times a week using a soft cloth or mild exfoliating scrub.
